End Street Productions make films to promote and publicise the work of charities, NGOs and social enterprises around the world. We use our creative experience making socially engaged, narrative driven documentaries to help non profits document and report on projects to donors and raise funds.
Our team have been commissioned to make films for several UN agencies, The UK government, and independent charities. We know that film is an important communication tool for non profits, and civil society organisations, reaching the hearts and minds of decision makers, communities and supporters. End Street work with our clients to develop creative, informative and unique films for advocacy, awareness raising and training that are used throughout the world.
Here are some recent examples of our work:
Jasleen Kaur Sethi visited Rwanda in March 2009 to make these two films for DFID - The UK Department For International Development. They commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide and look at the effects of reforms within the UN system, aimed at making different UN agencies work together.
Millions of children lost their parents during Rwanda’s genocide. With no adults to look after them, the UN estimate there are between 80,000 and 100,000 child headed, orphan households with children bringing each other up. Child friendly schools try to help bring some support especially keeping girls in school, as they are often the ones who stay home as caregivers.
For many women in Rwanda, the genocide left them terrified of the security forces. For women that experienced rape and witnessed the murder of their families at the hands of armed militias, becoming comfortable trusting the police and military seems impossible. Here is what the police and legal aid lawyers are trying to do to change that:
Jasleen travelled to Nepal to make this film for Radioactive, a social enterprise building radio stations around the world.
